Barcode labels with sequential numbering for the permanent identification of ceramic (porcelain) and earthenware. These labels have been specifically designed for use in the manufacturing of sanitary items where peak kiln temperatures range between 1100 and 1250. As a result of firing ,the image (barcode and human readable text ) shrinks to the same extent as the sanitary item to which it is applied-nomally between 8% and 12%. During the firing process, the ink used to print the barcodes ,fuses with the surface of the ceramic item and becomes an integral part thereof.
